Department of Business Administration


The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics was established in 2000 as an integral part of its educational journey. The department offers a comprehensive program that prepares students to actively participate in the diverse and evolving world of business. It provides students with the opportunity to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, equipping them with the ability to understand and analyze business challenges in a modern business environment.

In addition, the department offers Master's and Doctoral programs in Administrative Sciences, allowing students to develop their expertise and research skills in specialized areas of business administration. The program features purposeful guidance and distinguished teaching aimed at developing future leaders capable of identifying opportunities, solving problems, and innovating solutions in the global business market.

Through its long and fruitful journey, the Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics reflects its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and to ensuring the success of its students and its local and global community.

The vision

The department aspires to be one of the distinguished academic and professional departments among its counterparts in educational institutions in Iraq. It aims to elevate the academic level of its students, thereby achieving scientific leadership at the level of universities and colleges locally, regionally, and globally.

The department seeks to establish a clear vision regarding all aspects of academic and scientific work in various administrative disciplines, particularly in Business Administration, while keeping up with modern theoretical and practical developments in the field. Moreover, it aims to equip students with practical skills in complementary fields such as finance, banking, accounting, and economics, enabling them to work effectively in major administrative institutions, banks, financial markets, and other related organizations.

Additionally, the department focuses on developing the research skills of its academic staff.
