Duties of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics
The Women’s Affairs Unit undertakes a range of activities and responsibilities aimed at supporting and enhancing the role of women within the academic environment and the community. These duties include:
- Empowering Women and Enhancing Their Role:
Working to empower women and support them in various academic and administrative fields, encouraging active participation in conferences and seminars. - Raising Awareness of Women’s Issues:
Organizing workshops and seminars aimed at increasing awareness of women’s rights and issues in society, and addressing the challenges they face. - Providing Psychological and Social Support:
Offering psychological and social support to female students and staff, helping them overcome challenges and obstacles they may encounter. - Monitoring Student Affairs:
Supervising matters related to female students in the college, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment, and addressing any issues that may arise. - Coordinating Cultural and Social Activities:
Organizing cultural and social activities focused on women, such as International Women’s Day, International Day of the Girl, as well as national occasions. - Enhancing Educational and Professional Development Opportunities:
Promoting educational and professional development opportunities for women through training programs and educational courses aimed at improving their skills and competencies. - Liaison with Relevant Organizations:
Communicating and coordinating with civil society organizations and governmental bodies concerned with women’s affairs to achieve cooperation and partnership in implementing joint programs and initiatives.
These duties contribute to creating an inclusive and balanced academic environment that supports the role of women and enhances their contribution to achieving sustainable development goals.
The main objectives of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics are:
- Empowering women and enhancing their participation in academic and administrative life.
- Raising awareness of women’s issues and rights.
- Providing psychological and social support to female students and staff.
- Promoting educational and professional development opportunities for women.
- Organizing cultural and social activities related to women.
- Strengthening cooperation with relevant organizations concerned with women’s affairs to implement joint programs.
