Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs

The responsibilities of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs represent one of the key pillars upon which the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics relies. This office serves as the central link in managing academic events such as conferences, symposia, workshops, and other scientific activities within the College. In addition, it oversees postgraduate studies and monitors the academic conduct, discipline, and commitment of postgraduate students throughout their studies and after graduation.

The office of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs is also tasked with issuing and responding to official correspondences, monitoring student attendance and compliance with the uniform dress code, and maintaining accurate records of disciplinary committee proceedings. Moreover, it coordinates with the academic departments in organizing examinations and ensures the implementation of the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as those in force at the Presidency of Tikrit University.

Duties and Authorities of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs

Organizing final exam schedules in coordination with the College’s academic departments.
Organizing weekly class schedules in coordination with the academic departments and according to classroom availability to ensure the smooth conduct of postgraduate studies.
Supervising the weekly lecture records prepared for this purpose, ensuring all scheduled hours for each course are covered according to applicable regulations.
Monitoring postgraduate student attendance and discipline in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Reviewing postgraduate admission applications upon receipt from the academic departments and standardizing them.
Reviewing transfer cases for postgraduate students from other universities to the College, referring them to the relevant academic departments, and communicating with concerned authorities.
Tracking postgraduate students regarding study duration and full-time commitment according to regulations and instructions.
Participating in College postgraduate committees’ meetings when invited, to discuss postgraduate matters in line with departmental responsibilities, ensuring proper performance. Preparing the postgraduate student discussion report one week prior to the defense, organizing meeting minutes, evaluating them, and submitting them to the College Council.
Supervising the preparation of annual and special statistics related to postgraduate studies at the College.
Issuing and receiving examination books according to applicable rules.
Announcing examination results after approval by the postgraduate committees in the academic departments and according to their jurisdiction.
Providing departments with grades using a standardized form prepared for approval by the postgraduate committees.
Coordinating with academic departments regarding the submission of exam questions for the first and second sessions, according to undergraduate study procedures.
Communicating with official departments regarding all matters related to a postgraduate student’s academic record, from registration to graduation.
Communicating with the University Presidency / Postgraduate Studies Department regarding all matters concerning a postgraduate student’s academic record.
Requesting official approvals from relevant authorities for attendees after their names and departments have been determined by the concerned academic department.
Signing annual increments and promotion forms for postgraduate staff in his capacity as the highest authority.

تأريخنا

تاسست جامعة تكريت سنة 1987 عند تأسيس السلطة التشريعية لكلية التربية للبنات، بالاضافة الى كلية الطب والهندسة، وتعد أول جامعة في الجزء الشمالي الغربي من العراق، وهذه الكليات الثلاث كانت كأنموذج لمؤسسات التعليم المستقبلية تحت نظام التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي المشرع سنة 1970. توسعت الجامعة وفتحت فيها كليات اخر بدءاً بكلية التربية المختلطة وانتهاءً بكلية التربية التي انشطرت الى شطرين وأصبحت كلية التربية للعلوم الانسانية والعلوم الصرفة سنة 2013، فأصبحت الجامعة تضم مجموعة من الكليات المختلفة.
